Rome Police Child Safety Seat Program

Submit information about yourself or someone else in need that could use the help of the Rome Police Department in acquiring a car safety seat. Fill out the Car Seat Application and email it to the Police Department. You can also drop off a hard copy at the front desk, 5 Government Plaza, Suite 300 (Joint Law Enforcement Center, 3rd floor).

We do not update the application status once your application has been submitted. Remember, we receive multiple applications each year and a limited number of car safety seats.

If you are selected you will be notified by our selection committee for a personal interview. For a new car seat, you must prove you are a Floyd County resident in good standing and be in financial need. If you have been deceptive in any way your application will be voided. You will also be required to attend a 1-hour training session about car seat safety prior to the issuance of a new safety seat. Car Safety Seat Training Classes will be provided every 60 days or when a minimum of 10 applicants is approved, whichever occurs first.
