The Pastoral Police Academy is an 8-week program that gives our community members first-hand information on the role of police officers in the Rome Police Department (RPD). The Pastoral Police Academy is not an offer of employment. It is a volunteer program to educate those respected members of our community who want to hear information on law enforcement and the Rome Police Department from the source.

Child Safety Tips (CART)
The Child Abduction Response Team (CART) consists of 15 local agencies that work together during the investigation of abducted and/or missing children. The CART became nationally certified in 2012 by the Department of Justice and was the first county team to be nationally certified in the State of Georgia. The CART works closely with other state and federal agencies to conduct these investigations.
